GMAT 2014 Syllabus | Verbal Section | GMAT Exam
The GMAT Verbal segment calculates the aptitude to read and comprehend written material, to reason and estimate arguments, and to accurate written material to obey to normal written English. Because the Verbal segment comprises reading units from numerous different content areas, you may be usually familiar with some of the material. Three kinds of multi-choice questions are used in the Verbal segment:
Reading comprehension
Critical reasoning
Sentence correction
GMAT 2014 Syllabus for Quantitative Section
The GMAT Quantitative segment calculates the aptitude to interpret graphic data, reason quantitatively and solve quantitative problems. Two kinds of multi-choice questions are used in the Quantitative section:
Problem solving
Data suffciency
Data suffciency
Problem answering and data sufficiency questions are mingled throughout the Quantitative segment. Both types of queries need basic knowledge of:
Arithmetic
Elementary algebra
